The Belkin is now accepting applications for the following UBC Student Work Learn positions:
This position works closely with the Gallery’s Curator of Academic Programs on the research, development and production of academic programs for the exhibitions during the 2024/25 academic year.
This position monitors the gallery and exhibitions, provides information to visitors, assists with events, programs and research, and with tours of the Outdoor Art collection.
This position works with the Gallery’s Manager of Public Programs on the development and production of public programs, tours and educational resource materials.
This position works with the Gallery’s Archivist to manage physical and digital objects in the archives, capturing administrative information, and providing general support for archival functions.
This position works with the Gallery’s Archivist and Registrar and the Records Management Office (RMO) at UBC, to assess the Belkin’s existing records landscape and implement changes and classification systems, in relation to the work conducted at the Gallery and the value of its records over time.

The Belkin is mandated to research, exhibit, collect, publish, educate and develop programs in the field of contemporary art and in contemporary art approaches to the practice of art history and criticism. The Belkin houses the University’s growing collection of over 5,000 works of art – one of the largest public collections of art in the province – as well as a substantial archive with items relating to the post-war history of art in Vancouver and the avant-garde narratives of the 1960s and 1970s.
