The Belkin is now accepting applications for the following UBC Student Work Learn positions:
This position works closely with the gallery’s Curator of Academic Programs on the research, development and production of academic programs for the exhibitions during the 2022-23 academic year.
This position will assist the gallery’s Archivist in working with physical and digital objects, administrative information related to the archives, and providing general support for archival functions.
This position monitors the gallery and exhibitions, provides information to visitors, assists with events, programs and research, and with tours of the Outdoor Art collection.
This position works with the gallery’s Manager of Public Programs on the development and production of public programs, tours and educational resource materials.
i) This position works with the gallery’s Curator of Outdoor Art, and provides curatorial, research and programming support for Fireweed Fields and the Outdoor Art collection.
ii) This position works with the gallery’s Acting Director/Curator to support research, planning and coordination of programming related to the Belkin’s upcoming exhibitions, exterior video screen program, and collaborations with UBC arts and culture district partners.

The Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery is mandated to research, exhibit, collect, publish, educate and develop programs in the field of contemporary art and in contemporary art approaches to the practice of art history and criticism. The Belkin houses the University’s growing collection of over 5,000 works of art – one of the largest public collections of art in the province – as well as a substantial Archive with items relating to the post-war history of art in Vancouver and the avant-garde narratives of the 1960s and 1970s.
